Welcome to Year 6 

Year 6 at Summerhill is an exciting but hardworking year, filled with memorable experiences as pupils prepare for the next step to secondary school. Guided by their teachers—Miss Hughes, Miss Thorpe, Miss Hopkins and Miss King—children take on new challenges and responsibilities while continuing to grow in confidence and independence. Highlights of the year include the fascinating trip to the Bewdley War Museum, the much-anticipated residential, and the ever-popular box car project, where pupils design and build their own class box car before racing it in a thrilling competition. Alongside these exciting events, pupils work hard to prepare for their SATs and the transition to secondary school. The year finishes with a special graduation celebration, marking the end of their primary journey and the many wonderful memories created during their final year at Summerhill.
